A RESTFUL retreat in heart of kent countryside
FRIDAY 5th – SUNDAY 7th June 2026
Join me at Whitfield House, the stunning Grade II Listed Tudor Hall House for a 3 day / 2 night retreat.
This retreat is for you if you are being held in the grind of work and life with little space for yourself; if your mind and body are calling out for deep rest and true connection.
Mornings are for movement, afternoons for relaxing by the pool, reading in the hammock or walking in the Kent countryside, and then evenings welcome deep rested practices, delicious plant-based dinners and conversation with your fellow retreaters. Everything has been curated to give you some much needed time out.
Book via button or email hello@martharoseyoga.com with request for booking and room preference and booking type (private or shared).
We have one room left for this retreat – the beautiful and calm Palmer’s Lodge. This is available on a single or shared (king/twin) occupancy basis. If you are interested in hearing about future retreats then sign up to the newsletter and follow me on instagram (@martharoseyoga) to be the first to know.
Our Home
Whitfield House is a wonderful retreat haven set in 28 acres of the “Weald of Kent”, a beautiful rural setting on the edge of the picturesque Biddenden village.
The oldest parts of the house date back to 1540 with it being added to and changed over the centuries.

It has been lovingly restored over the last few years, adding a unique style across the whole property. A magical blend of traditional and contemporary.
Surrounded by beautiful unspoilt countryside, with meandering lanes leading to picturesque villages, orchards and hop gardens reminding us of a bygone era. Today local vineyards produce highly acclaimed English wines and local farmers produce incredible fruit and vegetables.
This is a place to can connect deeply whilst nourishing both body and mind.

The Food
Food is huge part of being on retreat; it is at the heart of the nourishment experience.
We are so lucky to have the wonderful Laura Paine joining us for the weekend.

She is possibly the best retreat chef out there, so it was a no brainer to bring her with us to Kent. She will pack us full of nutritious, colourful and truly satisfying plant-based meals. You will be begging for seconds, asking for recipes and all the tips as you head home.

The Yoga
If you have practiced with me before you know that I am a big believer in finding Yin in the Yang. Embodying steadiness and deep inner connection to find your own unique practice.
Each yoga practice on retreat will lead from this belief. Movement intended to encourage self-discovery and nourish you from the inside out.
Together we will practice morning embodied yoga (steady vinyasa inspired flow) and afternoon gentle yoga followed by Yin or Restorative yoga.

Sound Bath
We will also be joined by the incredible Junior Valentine for a Sound Bath.
His sessions weave together gong, alchemy crystal bowls, somatic awareness, and energy healing to create powerful, heart-opening experiences that support deep rest, emotional release, and energetic recalibration.
He is known for holding grounded, soulful spaces that feel both transformative and deeply nurturing.

Junior is a yoga teacher, Gong and Sound Bowls Master, massage therapist and bodyworker, Angelic Reiki and Usui Reiki Master, breathwork facilitator, and Spinal Energetics practitioner. He is also the founder of Spirited Breathwork.

Other things to know
Can I join the retreat if I’ve never done yoga before?
Of course. This is a retreat for inner connection. It does include physical yoga practices but it is so much more than that. It is a time to break away and pause in the calm Kent countryside. If you are a beginner and would like to ask any questions before booking then please reach out hello@martharoseyoga.com
What is your cancellation policy?
To secure your booking there is a non-refundable £300 deposit required.
The remainder of the payment is due 12 weeks before the start of the retreat (13th March 2026).
Once the final payment is made the retreat payment is non-refundable.
Places however are transferable. If you wish to transfer your place, please let me know the name and contact details of the person as soon as possible.
What do I need to bring?
The retreat will be fully stocked so you just need to bring yourself and whatever you would normally pack for a relaxed retreat weekend.
Even though the retreat is in June, we all know the UK weather is temperamental so I suggest packing appropriately for the English countryside – swimwear and flip flops for the pool, jumpers and cosy socks for the evenings. And if you want to go for a walk, comfortable outdoor shoes. For the practices, just make sure you are comfortable – leggings, loose trousers, vests, t-shirts, whatever works for you.
Can I come on my own?
Yes of course – we love this. Retreats are a wonderful place to meet new, like minded people – some of my best friends were met on retreat. We have solo and shared room options too, so either enjoy some quiet comfort, or make new friends in a twin/triple/quad sharing room.
I want to come with someone else, can we share a room?
Absolutely. When you email your booking just let me know your names and that you would like to share. Note which room you would like to book – twin or king (shared bed) shared room and we will allocate you together.
Please note rooms are on a first come first serve basis so we will do our best but we cannot guarantee if rooms are already booked.
How do I get to the retreat?
Whitfield House has excellent road and rail links to London, with multiple stations nearby:
– Headcorn with services from London Bridge and London Charing Cross in under an hour and,
– Ashford International with high-speed service from London St Pancras in 38 minutes (10/15 minutes train ride to Headcorn)
– By car there is easy access to the A21 or M20 which provide links to the M25, Gatwick and Heathrow airports. There is on site parking
Transfers are not included in the retreat price, however we can help organise a transfer to/from Headcorn for you. You will pay the driver directly and where we can we will organise for you to share with someone arriving at a similar time.
