I believe that through inspiring people to take time to nurture their bodies and minds they can lead happier, healthier and more fulfilled lives.
I believe this as I have experienced it first hand, and now want to share it with you.
I first came to yoga after years of training – swimming, weights, boxing, HIIT, spin, circuits – and working in an intensely competitive advertising environment. Places that promoted high energy as success.
But I soon realised I was also looking for something, anything, to balance out the physical and mental pressure I found myself under.
At first the change of pace and way of thinking was hard to incorporate into my highly stimulated life and mindset, it was really uncomfortable. But over time the positive impact it had on me became harder and harder to ignore, and easier to embrace. Yoga started to take over.
Not only did my body feel better, stronger, more flexible, able to move and balanced; but the practices I was learning helped me to mentally navigate some difficult times, becoming my guide throughout.
It simply transformed my life. I will forever be grateful for that first practice, and the continued journey yoga takes me.
In 2018 I decided that I wanted to share the power and joy I felt from yoga with others, so I embarked on my ashtanga vinyasa teacher training at the Kagyu Samye Dzong London Tibetan Buddhist Centre.
This kick started my life as a teacher, but my passion for learning and sharing yoga hasn’t stopped there. I have gone on to complete trainings in Yin Yoga and meridian theory, restorative yoga, Yoga Nidra, advanced anatomy and injury management and meditation.
I have had the pleasure of learning from some of the most wonderful teachers (and friends), including Norman Blair, Olivia Marley, Annie Clarke, Pip Roberts, Alexandria Crow, Steffy White. With so many more inspiring my journey along the way.
